## What it is

Private Cloud Business Edition is also a disaggregated hyperconverged infrastructure:
storage, servers and network grow independently while management stays as simple as HCI. It
is driven from the HPE GreenLake cloud platform and from vSphere vCenter.

Compute is a ProLiant of your choice; storage is an HPE Alletra MP B10000, all-flash over
NVMe, built for continuous availability and sub-millisecond latency.

## How it differs from dHCI

Technically the two are close. The difference is the storage, the scale, and above all the
operating model: PCBE is built to be run from the GreenLake portal, consumption billing
included.

## What to watch

Anyone choosing between dHCI and PCBE rarely decides it on the datasheets. The question is
whether the platform should be operated out of a cloud portal, and who in your own building
still needs which rights afterwards.
